Ask Food & Wine magazine to retract their endorsement of Reem's

Food & Wine magazine which made a truly reprehensible, anti-Israel, anti-Jews living, pro-Arab Palestinian terrorism decision.
In April 2018, Food & Wine Magazine named Oakland's "Reem's California" one of their 2018 Restaurants of the Year. The magazine paints the Arab Bakery as a "vehicle for healing" where Jews and Arabs can eat together and enjoy a meal in peace.
The restaurant also has a wall-sized mural of convicted terrorist Rasmea Odeh, who was found guilty of two bombings in Jerusalem, including one that killed two innocent Hebrew University students, Leon Kanner and Eddie Joffe, at a supermarket in 1969. She was sentenced to life in prison but was released in 1979 as part of a prisoner swap with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
Odeh did not disclose her criminal record when she applied for a U.S. Visa in 1994, or when she applied for citizenship in 2004. She pleaded guilty in April 2017 to misleading U.S. immigration officials, and finally had her citizenship revoked in August 2017 and was deported to Jordan from Chicago.
As such, it is completely irresponsible for Food & Wine Magazine to choose Reem's California as one of their Restaurants of the Year and subsequently condone the honoring and glorification of convicted supermarket bomber and terrorist Rasmea Odeh.
In response to criticism of the magazine's decision to honor a restaurant that openly supports those who commit violent attacks against Jews and Israelis, Editor-in-Chief Hunter Lewis responded by saying, "To dismiss Reem Assil and Reem’s based on the mural of a divisive figure is to deny the full impact of this restaurant, its role in the Oakland community, and its place in a global social and political conversation. We stand by our decision because we see intrinsic value in widening our readers’ understanding of the foodways of the Middle East and expanding the chorus of voices we empower to tell that story."
We condemn Food & Wine Magazine for their blatant disregard for Jewish lives and for Lewis' reducing Rasmea Odeh to only a "divisive figure." We doubt the families of Leon and Eddie, who lost their young sons to Odeh's senseless violence, would agree that she is only "divisive."
Please sign this petition  to request that Food & Wine retract their endorsement of Reem's California and apologize for condoning the glorification of a convicted terrorist. Food & Wine Magazine should be ashamed of what is ultimately support of violence against Jews and Israelis.

Gaza "journalist" uses himself as a human shield

Journalists have been killed in Gaza after participating in hostilities against Israel.

This photo from the "Great march of Return" shows precisely how this can happen.

The man in the blue press jacket holding a camera is using his body to shield those throwing rocks at Israelis.

You could get hurt doing that.

Dennis Kucinich cozying up to the butcher of Syria. Again

Local Israel-hater Paul Larudee is in the news again.  His non -profit “Association for Investment in Popular Action Committees” is under scrutiny for paying Ohio gubernatorial candidate  Dennis Kunich tens of thousands of dollars to speak at a conference hosted by pro-Assad radicals.  Kucinich, 71, served in Congress from 1997 to 2013, before his loss to fellow Democrat Marcy Kaptur.  Kucinich  had initially failed to disclose this payment in state ethics filings.

The non-profit The Association for Investment in Popular Action Committees  operates out of Paul Larudee’s home high in the El Cerrito hills  and acts as the parent organization for the pro-Assad  Syria Solidarity Movement.  Co-founder of the group, Kamal Obeid is a conspiracy theorist and a member of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth. Paul Larudee gained notoriety by his participation in the blockade running Gaza flotillas, and his meeting with Hamas terror group leader Ismail Haniyah.

Paul Larudee Feted by Hamas  leaders in Gaza

Assad,  widely considered by the world to be a war criminal, met with Kucinich during the trip.  It wasn't their first time meeting.

From cleveland.com
Dennis Kucinich must sever ties with apologists for Syrian dictator Bashar Assad: editorial

In 2007, our editorial board condemned Dennis Kucinich's "pseudo-diplomacy in the Middle East." Instead of assisting the cause of peace, he'd allowed himself to be used as a propagandist for the vile Syrian dictator Bashar Assad. That was compounded by the tone-deaf way Kucinich financed a number of his Syria trips with special-interest cash, undercutting any pretense to an untainted view of the Syrian conflict.

Regarding the 2007 trip, Kucinich told The Plain Dealer's Stephen Koff it was paid for out of his presidential campaign funds -- although a campaign spokeswoman later said she'd "heard that a group of people in Cleveland were paying for it." Kucinich's prior trip to Syria, Lebanon and Jerusalem, in 2006, had been financed by AACCESS-Ohio, a local Arab-American group with pro-Assad views.
From cleveland.com

In spite of his cozying up to war criminals, and taking funds from extremists, the paper has enforced Kucinich in the governor's race.

An online petition has started, requesting that the Cleveand Plain Dealer  revoke their endorsement of Kucinich in light of these current revelations.

In light of the revelations that Dennis Kucinich was paid to give a speech to an organization sympathetic to Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, we the undersigned demand that the Plain Dealer/Cleveland.com revoke their endorsement of Mr. Kucinich.

The Association for Investment in Popular Action Committees, who paid Mr. Kucinich $20,000 for the speech, is a front group for a number of organizations that have:

Expressed support for keeping the murderous dictator Bashar al-Assad in power.
Denied both Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and Russia's involvement in the use of a nerve agent on British soil.

Claimed that "Doctors Without Borders, Amnesty International — both past winners of the Nobel Peace Prize — and the White Helmets — nominated for the prestigious award — and others documenting the violence and helping victims of the long-running Syrian battles are actually front groups for the U.S."

In addition, the Association for Investment in Popular Action Committees' treasurer, Paul LaRudee, has written a blog post claiming that Israel is a "racist state" and that he would encourage companies to boycott all Israeli products until Israel "dissolves itself".  Mr. LaRudee has also stated that the "Judaization" of Jerusalem must be stopped.

Please sign and promote this petition to your lists.

Also consider  contacting the IRS  to have the non-profit status of Paul Larudee's  “ Association for Investment in Popular Action Committees” revoked.

Members of the public may send information that raises questions about an exempt organization's compliance with the Internal Revenue Code to IRS - EO Referrals, 1100 Commerce Street, MC 4910 DAL, Dallas, TX 75242.  They may use Form 13909, Tax-Exempt Organization Complaint (Referral) Form, for this purpose.
In addition to oversight by the IRS, tax-exempt organizations are subject to oversight by State charity regulators and State tax agencies. You may also want to send a copy of the referral you send to us to your state charity regulator and/or state tax agency.

UPDATE
Kucinich has said he will be returning a $20,000 speaking fee he received from Larudee's pro-Assad group.

Birds of a feather. Al Awda hosts Carlos Latuff. JVP promotes it.

Al Awda, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition, is not a peace group.  The extremist group does not accept the existence of Israel within any border, promotes intolerance, rationalizes violence, and has pushed conspiracy theories and anti-Semitic tropes to its followers.

According to the venerable Anti-Defamation league (ADL), Al Awda has openly supported terrorist groups, writing that

"At least five communiques from the PFLP including one in conjunction with the Al -Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, and one joint statement with Hamas were distributed via Al-Awda's main listserve. Nearly all of the communiques expressed support for terrorist activity, extolling "martyrs", encouraging the "resistance" and detailing violence against Israeli troops"

Its co-founder Zahi Damuni has called for "armed struggle" against Israel, stating that the  "armed Palestinian resistance must react in the middle of Tel Aviv".

Its not surprising that controversial San Francisco State Professor Rabab Abduhadi  would appear at a terror-enabling gala.   Its not surprising that the gala would feature the notoriously anti-Semitic , holocaust denying cartoonist  Carlos Latuff

And its also not surprising that Jewish Voice for Peace would endorsed and promote this event on their Facebook page.
The only thing that is surprising is that anyone, anywhere still believes that JVP is a progressive peace group.

Peaceful Protests, Gaza Style

This is what a  "peaceful" protest looks like in Gaza. From the Palestinian's own posts on social media.

It should be easy

Can you tell the difference between a peaceful march and a violent march?
JVP can't.
If Not Now can't.
Here's a hint, from Zionist Pugs.

Palestinian Lies go whole hog

There is no lie too extreme for the "Israel is always wrong" cru to tell.

Lie du jour: the "internationally banned"  "exploding bullet" used by Israeli snipers to deliver maximum pain to the pure, unarmed civilians amassing on the Gaza border.

Haitham Khatib, a "photographer" from Ramallah writes:

Every single Palestinian is becoming a guinea pig and is targeted to bear in his flesh the very embodiment of the Illegal Israeli Occupation.
Soon, butterfly bullets will be part of Palestinian DNA.
But at the same time, butterflies are the living embodiment of FREEDOM and BEAUTY.
What doesn't kill us will make us stronger.
FOREVER.

He lies.

Exploding bullets or close-range hog hunting ammo?

These bullets were cut and pasted directly from an ammunition advertisement.

They aren't a secret Israeli weapon.  The  bullets were specifically developed for close range hog hunting.  Not internationally banned.  Widely available on the web.  And there is zero evidence that Israel uses close range hog-hunting ammo in its munitions.

Another Palestinian lie exploded.  You can thank me later.

Swastika kite flies in Gaza

Week four of the Gaza / Israel border riots,  and Hamas slips yet again, and shows it true colors.

This is not surprising, from the enclave that boasts a clothing store named after Adolf Hitler

The swastika kite was set aloft,  with a firebomb tied to its tail, in hopes it would drift across the border fence and set fire to Israeli fields.

Not coincidentally, April 20 is the birthday of Adolf Hitler.

Haneen Zoabi comes to town.

In a perfect world, Israeli MK Haneen Zoabi would be held up as an example of Israel's pluralistic and  democratic nature.  An Arab woman, educated in Israeli universities and elected to the Kenneset is surely a testimony to Israel's vibrant pluralism and vigorous democracy.

We don't live in a perfect world.

Instead, Zoabi  is crisscrossing the Bay area, spreading lies about the state she calls home, enabled by some of the most extremist groups in the Bay area.

A variety of vehemently anti-Israel groups have been sponsoring and promoting Zoabi's Bay area tour.   "Jewish" Voice for Peace is a sponsor and has freely promoted this open supporter of Hamas.

Zoabi has appeared at the Ramallah Institute, at Stanford, at  Berkeley City hall (invited by the equally extreme Cheryl Davila), at UC Berkeley and on KPFA, a local radio station.

Sue Fishkoff of the J weekly interviewed Zoabi.

“I’m willing to meet with and talk with anyone,” she said. But they’d better know what they’re going to hear from her, she added. “Anyone who is not anti-Zionist, who perceives himself as a left-wing Zionist, must recognize their complicity in the tragedy of the Palestinians. You are either anti-Zionist and realize the colonialist dimension of Israel as a Jewish state, or you have to take responsibility for the oppression of the Palestinians.”
The “progressive Zionist left” is misguided at best, she said. The point is not to make things better for the Palestinians, she said, but to dissolve the state itself and replace it either with two states — one secular, one Palestinian — or, ideally, one binational secular state with self-determination for both Jews and Palestinians.
She has been criticized in recent years for stating that Jews are not a people, and therefore do not need a state, in contrast to Palestinians. Reiterating that view to J., she said Jews outside Israel have no claim on that land and never did. ..."

Zoabi's Bay Area visit would have gone unchallenged, if not for the brave students of UC Berkeley, who conducted a brief, dignified silent protest  last night.  Wearing shirts that declared  "I am a Zionist" in Arabic, they held signs that exposed Zoabi's racist agenda in front of the auditorium, visibly flustering Hatem Bazian, the host of the evening.

Afterward they released this open letter to the Cal Chancellor, documenting Zoabi's lies, and the
University structure that gave her a platform.

From Tikvah, the Zionist voice on campus:

We will not be silent as our identities are slandered through an official, academic platform supported by the university, which provides lecturers like Hatem Bazian the opportunity to do this over, and over and over again....We now call on ChancellorChristand the UC Berkeley Administration to take a definitive stance against anti-Semitism and to take immediate administrative action against Hatem Bazian for promoting said anti-Semitism and hosting a radical, offensive  and utterly dishonest speaker in an "academic event".  If no action is taken immediately, we will have proof  that our university does not care about academic , intellectual and moral dishonesty, and that it chooses to bury and forget the threats Jewish and Israeli students face on this campus.

We hope the Chancellor takes the right steps and finally acknowledges the deep rooted level and acceptance of anti-Semitism at UC Berkeley, and its never ending promotion by the same faculty member.  We will not back down and will continue to vocally oppose the indoctrination happening under the guise of academia, today and every day.

Twitter is down. How will If Not Now obsessively self-promote?

According to reports, Twitter has crashed for millions of  users world-wide.

A major impact was felt in the camps of  IfNotNow, who endlessly use the social media platform to self-promote.

Widespread anxiety and existential angst was reported, and grief counselors were being brought in.

A spokesperson for "IfNotNow"  addressed the crisis as he sipped his soy latte.

"As a Young Jew ™, I demand our leaders be held accountable for hurting my feelings.   Without Twitter, how will the 31  members of our group watch our movement rise up and take on the Jewish Establishment, day after day, in city after city, in our characteristically  humorless and self righteous fashion?

Can you donate now to support our movement in this critical time?"

UPDATE

The crisis in  the IfNotNow basement offices of  Mom's house has been narrowly averted, as Twitter functionality has been restored

Stunningly beautiful photographs of Israel

From Bored Panda

Photographer Noam Chen writes:

My country is arguably one of the smallest in the world. With little over 8000 sq. miles (20,000 sq. km) in size, it can fit 19 times inside California. Even more so, 60% of it is desert.

Nonetheless, it is one of the most successful and thriving countries on earth.

See if you can guess which country it is, by these interesting clues:

1. Here you can find the lowest point on earth, the world’s oldest continuously inhabited town and the oldest continuously used cemetery.

2. It is only 70 years old as an independent state, even though its history dates back more than 3000 years.

3. It has a major influence on the world’s advancements in science, technology and medicine, and has produced 12 Nobel Prize winners so far.

4. It is the only liberal democracy in a region of ongoing political turmoil.

5. The nation’s official language had not been spoken for centuries and was revived when the country was established.

6. All major religions consider this country to be the birthplace of the world.

These clues may have helped you understand that the country I’m referring to is of course, Israel, also known as the Holy Land.

I was born and raised in Israel, and that’s where I lunched my career as a professional photographer. I’ve been shooting my country’s incredible landscapes for over 10 years now.

"Journalist" Yasser Murtaja killed near Gaza border was Hamas operative

Yasser Murtaja, a Gaza journalist who was reportedly killed by Israeli gunfire during the "Great March of Return" was a member of Hamas.  Israel's Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman has told reporters that Murtaja had been on the Hamas payroll since 21011, and had achieved the rank of "Captain" .

Although the importation of drones into Gaza was illegal, Murtaja is reported to have used a camera drone to collect intelligence on Israeli forces along the border.

His Facebook page shows him posing with a drone.

Yasser Murtaja, a Gaza journalist and Hamas operative

Liberman declared “I don’t know who is or isn’t a photographer. Anyone who operates drones above IDF soldiers needs to understand he’s putting himself in danger,”  adding “We’ve seen dozens of cases where Hamas terrorists used ambulances, dressed up as Red Crescent personnel and disguised themselves as journalists. We won’t take any chances."

Although Murtaja's colleagues denied the allegations, it seems unlikely that Yasser Murtaja would have been permitted to take such intimate portrayals of Gaza without approval of Hamas

Showing their true colors in Gaza

Its week two of six weeks of Hamas terror.  Thousands are amassed at the border with Israel. And the Palestinians show their true colors, again and again.

Great March of Return, Gaza

A swastika flag flies along with Palestinian flags in Gaza.  The descendants of the Grand Mufti al Amin al-Husseini have spoken, and their intentions are clear.

This photo is illustrative of the entire march.  A father brings a young child to a war zone,  showing complete disregard for his safety.  Perhaps he is using him as a human shield, knowing Israel would not willingly hurt a child.
Great March of Return, Gaza
The father wears a mask for protection against the acrid smoke of the tire fires set throughout Gaza.  The child does not.  The heartrending and cavalier disregard for this childs well meaning is a microcosm of life in Gaza under Hamas.   Life is cheap.  Children are expendable.  And those you should trust to ensure your physical and emotional well being have baser intentions.
