Meet Nader Haitham Rayan, another "child" killed by Israel

Last night, in Nablus’s Balata refugee camp a gunfight broke out when Israeli Border Police officers entered the camp to arrest a wanted criminal. Two terrorists arrived on a scooter and began to shoot at the police. Border Police officers fired back, killing them.

The Palestinian Authority Health Ministry identified one of the deceased as 17-year-old Nader Rayan, who will go down forever in statistics as a "child" killed by Israel.

Qatar affiliated AJ+ (Al Jazeera plus), a social media publisher owned by Al Jazeera Media Network the death, posted about Rayan's death, deliberately devoid of any context.

English language posts on social media show a well groomed young man in athletic wear.  The Arabic posts are quite different.

Images that aren't geared to a Western audience portray the  "martyr" Nader Haitham Rayan in a very different light.

When 17 years olds are given weapons and told to shoot policemen, 17 years olds will die.   Mourn for Nader Haitham Rayan, whose life was cut short by those cynically willing to sacrifice their young.  Mourn for his community, that values his death more than his life.   

Gaza summer camp. This is No Way to treat a Child

There are no lanyards, s'mores, swim lessons or silly songs around the campfire in Gaza summer camps. They are dead serious affairs, intent on indoctrinating and training the next generation of martyrs.

The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades was founded in 1991 as the military wing of Hamas. It is the largest and best-equipped of the Gaza terror groups.   Al-Qassam Brigades has begun recruiting  for its  "Vanguards of Liberation" summer camp

The stated goal of these camps aim to "ignite the flame of jihad in the generation of liberation, sow Islamic values ​​and prepare the expected victory army for the liberation of Palestine"

Recruitment, at several locations in Gaza, was brisk.

Sadly, it looks like there will be no shortage of  jihadi-wannabe's and young martyrs for the next conflict.

Palestinian Authoriity: Glorifying Mass Murder

On March 9, 1978, Palestinian terrorists from including Dalal Mughrabi left Lebanon on a boat headed for the Israel, equipped with Kalashnikov rifles, rocket-propelled grenades and explosives. The terrorists landed on near the kibbutz Ma'agan Michael, north of Tel Aviv, and attacked a bus on the Coastal Highway.  37 Israelis, 12 of them children were murdered. 71 were wounded. An American was also killed. It is the deadliest attack on Israeli civilians in the historyof the Jewish state.

This year, Fatah's Shabiba High School movement ran a summer camp named after the mass murderer,  Dalal Mughrabi.

Gaza children deliberately transported to war zones

In the last few weeks, several children have been reported killed in the border clashes with Gaza.  How does this happen?  Why are children in a battle zone, instead of in school?

Sadly, the children are bought to the combat zone deliberately, either by their parents and family members

or in free buses organized by Hamas, who regards the death of children as a win important tool in their efforts to demonize Israel.

It is a war crime to use children as both combatants, and as human shields. 

Snopes commentary betrays its anti-Israel bias

Earlier this month, an alarming video from a Gaza kindergarten graduation surfaced on Palestinian social media. The video,  taken at the Al-Hoda school in Gaza on May 13  shows the kindergartners dressed in army uniforms, carrying automatic weapons, storming a building with an Israeli flag and  "killing"  an  "Israeli soldier" and taking an "Orthodox Jew" hostage.

The mainstream media did not find this abhorrent display of child abuse noteworthy, instead only choosing to report on events that portray Israel in the worst of all possible light.

Sadly, the urban myth buster website, Snopes, appears to have jumped on the  anti-Israel bandwagon.  Asked if the clip was authentic,   they grudgingly admitted that it was, then took great pains to spin it, claiming it only appeared on "right wing" outlets, and quoting  Khaled Elgindy  who said, in effect  occupation...conflict...Israel does it too...., and accused MEMRI  of only broadcasting extreme and inflammatory material.  Snopes ends their report with the same cliches about the conflict that dominate the mass media. 

We thought better of you, Snopes.

KHAN YOUNES, October 13, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli troops stationed along the border with Gaza shot and killed on Monday night a 12-year-old child east of Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

The Ministry of Health said Abdullah Abu Mudaif was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers near the border fence. Local sources said the shooting came from Kissufim military outpost.

In the meantime, Israeli forces opened a hail of gunfire at Palestinians' homes and lands to the east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. There were no reports of casualties, however.

A 10-year-old Palestinian boy was killed along the Gazan border late Wednesday, with a Palestinian official and an eyewitness accusing Israel but the army denying any exchange of fire.

Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the health ministry in the Gaza Strip, which is run by Islamist movement Hamas, said the boy died when Israeli troops fired across the border east of Khan Yunes in eastern Gaza.

"Abdullah al-Naseef, 10, was killed by (Israeli) occupation fire close to his house in the Qarara municipality, near Khan Yunes," he said.

An eyewitness said the Israeli army opened fire from a military base near Kissufim along the border.

An Israeli army spokeswoman denied there had been any firing across the border.

"We are not aware of any incident," she told AFP. It is unusual for Israel to deny confirmed exchanges of fire outright.

A Palestinian child was allegedly killed by Israeli forces on Wednesday in the southern Gaza Strip evening, while Israeli authorities denied responsibility in his death.

Gaza Ministry of Health spokesperson Ashraf al-Qidra told Ma’an that 10-year-old Abdullah Nasser Atwa Abu Mdeif was shot in the back by a bullet on Wednesday evening in the al-Qarrara area east of Khan Yunis.

Abdullah was later pronounced dead at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis

A Palestinian father urges his toddler to throw rocks at Israeli soldiers,  while taunting them to shoot the young child.  The child has been identified as 3 year-old Muhammad Suroor. The father doesn't get quite the photo op he's looking for- instead, the soldier high-fives the little boy.



Why would any parent exploit their child in such a cold-hearted and callous manner?

No Way to Treat a child. Again, J Street finds itself on the wrong side

Ever the optimists, American Muslims for Palestine has proudly proclaimed that 20 of the 535 members of Congress  have signed onto a letter filled with spurious accusations against Israel.

Twenty of of 535 Congressional Representatives. Just under 4%. The signers are listed below.

The letter, introduced by Betty McCollum, a Democrat from Minnesota asks  "Does a life of utter hopelessness...directly contribute to the violence?" She's asking the wrong question.

The rampant abuse of Palestinians children by those responsible for their very safety- their parents and their government- goes unmentioned in the McCollum letter.

There is no mention of Hamas run summer camps, that teach soldiering skills to children as young as 12.

There was no mention of  incitement and glorification of violence in both the government controlled mass media and the social media, where brightly colored cartoon characters meant precisely to appeal to children encourage violence against the Jewish community.

There is no mention of the monuments erected to Jew-killers, or the soccer tournaments, streets and schools named after these murderers. There is no mention of the salaries paid to the families of those who kill. There is no mention of the Palestinian textbooks and school curriculum that demonize the Jewish people and deny their heritage.

The signers of the McCollum letter are missing a huge part of the story.

Incidentally, 17 of the 20 signers of the McCollum letter have been endorsed by  "pro-Israel, pro-peace" J Street, making it difficult to fathom just what they mean by claiming they are "pro-Israel".

Raising the next generation of terrorists in Gaza

Summertime,and the living is easy. Children all over the world are looking forward to going to camp. Its no different in Gaza.

Its sign up time for the Gaza Vanguard youth camp.  Children in the Hamas run camps learn the life skills of terror.

Hamas Summer camp

Thousands of Palestinian children, as young as 15  are receiving military training in Gaza summer camps, operated by Hamas.

More than 25,000 children have joined this year's Hamas camps, according to Hamas officials in the Gaza Strip.

Only a few Palestinians have dared to speak out against Hamas's exploitation of children. Palestinian activist Eyad al-Atal criticized Hamas for "depriving an entire generation of Palestinians of their childhood." He said that apart from creating new supporters of the Islamic State, the military training of the children was in violation of human rights principles.

Addressing the Hamas leaders, the al-Atal said: "Teach your children how to play, how to smile, how to rejoice. Build for them an institution for education and entertainment that would raise them on the love of Palestine and not how to get themselves killed."

It is also disturbing to see how international and Palestinian human rights organizations, especially those claiming to defend children's rights, are turning a blind eye to this large-scale child abuse by Hamas. These organizations only care about children's rights when there is a way to throw all the blame on Israel.
