The Apartheid state of Lebanon.

The Lebanon Budget Draft for 2021 grants permanent residency in Lebanon for any foreigner that invests in real estate. As long as the investor keeps  property in their name permanent residency will be granted to the investor and their family.

Syrian and Palestinian nationals are excluded.

Over 470,000  Palestinian refugees are registered with UNRWA in Lebanon, with 45 per cent of them living in the country’s 12 refugee camps.  Palestinians in Lebanon cannot work in at least 39 professions and cannot own property. The refugee status is passed down from generation to generation.   Even third and fourth generation Lebanese born Palestinians do not have the rights of citizens.

Lebanon is an apartheid state, and the silence of the so-called Palestinian civil society and international human rights organizations is quite telling. This is one of the 3 "Ds" of Natan Sharansky's  definition of antisemitism- the double standard.  

Palestinians Re-writing history: Life Magazine

During its prime, Life Magazine featured some of the greatest writers, editors, illustrators and photographers of the time.  Life chronicled daily life in America and across the world.  It profiled celebrities- from world leaders to entertainers.   And it documented a world at war.

Recently, Palestinian activists have been re-purposing the iconic photos of the Life Magazine collection, in an effort to create a history that hadn't existed before.  

The Palestine Project has reproduced and recaptioned photos from the Life Magazine collection, replacing references and captions of "Arabs" with "Palestinians", and removing the photos from their historic context.   They are literally re-writing history, seeking to misled, rather than inform.

The Life Magazine archives are fully digitized and are available on Google books for future reference.

Interestingly enough,  in their attempt to re-write history, the Palestine Project neglected to include this very interesting photo and caption, which describes the principal Arab field commander Fawzi Bey, an ally of the Nazis during World War II.

Palestinians compare Jews to viruses on Yom Ha Shoah

In one of the most abhorent PR campaigns in a long history of abhorent PR campaigns, the Palestinians have been encouraged to leave messages on social media, comparing the Jewish people and the Jewish state to the deadly coronavirus.

This campaign of dehumanization has begun on the Yom Hashoah, when we commemorate the 6 million lives lost, because they too, were considered less than human

These and other repulsive images have been shared thousands of time using the hashtag #covid48, a reminder, if you needed one, that this  conflict has never been about the territories captured in the 1967 war- but rather the existence of the state of Israel within any borders.

Palestinian Values

A survey conducted by the Beit Sahour based Palestine Center for Public Opinion  gives the world a glimpse into the Palestinian view of "peace".

 Only 31 % of Gazans interviewed and 14% in the West Bank still support a two state solution.  66% of Palestinians interviewed in the West Bank felt that  "regaining control of historical Palestine" from the "river to the sea"  was their priority. In Gaza, the percent was slightly lower.

The Western pipe-dream of a one-state solution in which Arabs and Jews would share equal rights was supported by 9% of Gazans, and 11% of those in the West Bank.

The survey consisted of face-to-face interviews among a representative sample of 500 West Bankers and 500 Gazans, taken from January 23-February 11, 2020.

Increasing numbers of Palestinians Enter Israel for Medical Treatment

According to the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories Unit (COGAT), over 20,000 permits were issued to Palestinians living in West Bank to enter Israel for medical treatment,  up by nearly 3,000 from 2018.

Medical coordination between Israel and the Palestinian Authority has been ongoing since 1995 and continues to increase each year, despite ebbs and flows on the security and diplomatic fronts.

As one representative from the program who asked to remain anonymous explained, “treatment must go on” even in times of high tension, including during each of the two intifadas and the more recent uptick of violence in the West Bank.

The Israeli health coordinator trains Palestinian doctors in Israel, helping to improve their capacity to treat patients in the West Bank. Palestinian doctors are paired with professionals from Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem and they become colleagues and friends.

In addition, this department facilitates health professionals from Gaza to attend industry conferences and seminars. This educational participation is designed to keep them current on up-and-coming medical advancements in order to contribute to the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip. In 2016, 275 medical professionals from Gaza received visas to participate in medical workshops and seminars in Israel.

Arabs desecrate the Al Aqsa Mosque

Tisha B'Av marks the destruction of our first and second temple and is the most solemn day on the Jewish calendar. Jews flock to the old city of Jerusalem in pilgrimage to pray at our holy sites.

With the intention of attacking Jewish  worshipers coming to the old City to pray on Tisha B'Av., Palestinians stockpiled rocks and firebombs within the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. 

Is this any way to treat a holy site, and a place of worship?

Anti-Israel activists attempt to hijack the People's Climate March

 First they hijacked airplanes. Now the Palestinians hijack agendas.

Palestinians and their supporters are the spoiled children of the activist world- demanding, immature and inconsiderate.

Today's People’s Climate March in New York City attracted over 300,000 participants.  Leave it to  Jewish Voice for Peace and their anti-Israel comrades to shamelessly attempt to hijack the agenda.

Whenever a group of progressive activists mobilize,  its a given that anti-Israel activists  will be tagging along, with  shrill foot-stomping demands of "Pay attention to me!"  

Noor Mir on Twitter on Twitter gushed  " I organized a  #Free Palestine bloc and it is huge", adding "The climate connection is here & its clear"

Marching behind a JVP  banner some tried desperately to link the issues,  holding signs "Israel apartheid is not green", "Bombing Gaza is not green" , "First 2000 lives now 1000 acres"  and this baffling monstrosity  "Hey Bibi and Assad stop bombing the climate out of people's land"

 OK, then....

Others didn't even try,  and simply recycled signs from various ANSWER and Al Awda events  "End US Aid to Israel" and "Israel is racism and genocide" and the ever popular call for the elimination of Israel,  "From the river to sea". Palestinian flags were also abundant.

With climate charge emerging as one the most compelling issues of this generation, it would be a shame to see it lose credibility in this manner.  

Some anti-Israel activists apparently didn't get the memo. Rather than co-opting the climate change message, they chose to proudly disrupt it. The haters interrupted the progressive Senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders during his address on climate change. 

Either co-opting or disrupting, the anti-Israel message is clear.  Only their cause matters, after all, and don't you ever forget it.

During the month of Ramadan Israeli authorities granted permits to tens of thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank to visit Israel. The visitors converged on the beaches and in parks and shopping malls.

For many years, the Palestinians had been complaining about Israeli restrictions that ban them from entering Israel, but during the holy month of Ramadan, in an unprecedented move, the Israeli authorities granted permits to tens of thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank to visit Israel during the Muslim feast of Eid al-Fitr.

Hundreds of thousands of Muslims from the West Bank have been entering Jerusalem for Friday prayers at the Aqsa Mosque without permits.

Many Palestinians, particularly shopkeepers in the city, welcomed the Israeli move, noting that it boosted the local economy.

Then, in a move that angered Hamas, the Palestinian Authority and other Palestinians, the Israeli authorities went a step farther by allowing tens of thousands of West Bank Palestinians to enter the rest of Israel.

For the first time in many years, in scenes reminiscent of the good old days before the peace process when Palestinians were able to enter Israel freely, the beaches of Tel Aviv and Jaffa were full of Palestinian Muslims who also converged on shopping malls and water parks in different parts of the country.

But the scenes of Palestinians enjoying themselves on Israeli beaches and shopping in Israeli malls have angered Hamas and the Palestinian Authority.

Hamas also fears that the easing of restrictions may have a moderating effect on Palestinians at a time when the Islamist movement is working hard to recruit more followers, especially in the West Bank.

Hamas does not want to see Palestinians happy and enjoying themselves, especially not in Israel. Hamas would prefer to see Palestinians live in misery and poverty so that it could find fertile soil for recruiting terrorists.

The Palestinian Authority, for its part, is now accusing Israel of seeking to damage the Palestinian economy by opening its doors to Palestinian vacationers and shoppers.

Some Palestinian officials in Ramallah are even talking about an Israeli "conspiracy" to undermine the Palestinian Authority. Other officials are opposed to the new Israeli policy because they believe it is aimed at promoting "normalization" with Israel -- something the Palestinian Authority leadership considers a crime...

For years, the Palestinian Authority has been demanding that Israel lift travel restrictions imposed on West Bank Palestinians. But now that Israel has permitted tens of thousands of Muslims to visit its beaches and malls, Israel is being denounced for trying to damage the Palestinian economy.

What is clear is that neither the Palestinian Authority nor Hamas wants to see Palestinians living a good life. Improving the living standards of Palestinians is something that these two parties are not interested in. They would rather see Palestinians direct all their anger and frustration only toward Israel.

Otherwise, Hamas and the Palestinian Authority fear, Palestinians may vent their anger against their own leaders
