"Moderate" Fatah boosts of killing 11,000 Israelis

The following is yesterday's Fatah post celebrating and bragging about Fatah's murder of Israeli civilians:   

"To those who argue [with Fatah], to the boors, and to those who do not know history: 

• Fatah has killed 11,000 Israelis
• Fatah has sacrificed 170,000 Martyrs (Shahids)...
• Fatah was the first to carry out operations (i.e., terror attacks) during the first Intifada (i.e., Palestinian violence and terror against Israel, 1988-1993), and it was the first Palestinian faction to reach the nuclear reactor in Dimona (i.e., 1988 murder of 3 working mothers on way to the Dimona plant)
• Fatah was the first to fight in the second Intifada (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005) (Baha Al-Sa'id, an officer in the Preventive Security Forces, infiltrated an Israeli settlement on the border with Gaza) [parenthesis in source]...
• Fatah was the first to defeat the Zionist enemy (Battle of El-Karameh) [parenthesis in source]...
• Fatah led the Palestinian attack on Israel in the UN."

Today, the so called  "moderate" Fatah celebrated the anniversary of its first attack on Israel, 50 years ago.

Hamas in Gaza and Fatah share at least one characteristic- they both relish in celebrating their acts of terror, and those who perpetrated them

 On Jan. 1, 1965 Fatah members infiltrated into Israel and attempted to sabotage a National Water Carrier canal. The squad managed to put an explosive device next to the Water Carrier, but it failed to explode and later was discovered by an Israeli Border Police patrol. Fatah's first major guerrilla attack was a failure, but 35 other attacks on Israelis and civilian infrastructure followed that year

The 50th anniversary is coming up on Jan.1, and already Fatah is commemorating the failure.

Make no mistake. Fatah is not a moderate partner for peace

Senate Democrats to Obama: Warn the PA

I'm tempted to snark, and say that this can't possibly be the case, since so many people have told me that the Democrats simply hate Israel...but I'll stop there. Hamas remains the spanner in the works of peace for the foreseeable future, and everyone knows it.

Casey, Menendez and Colleagues Call for Evaluation of U.S. Relations with Fatah-Hamas Government, Possible Suspension of Aid to Palestinian Authority

WASHINGTON, DC— U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ) today sent a letter to President Obama asking him to evaluate the U.S. relationship with the Palestinian Authority and consider taking stronger measures in condemnation of the recently formed Fatah-Hamas unity government. In the letter signed by 27 Senators, the Senators urged the Administration to stand by its refusal to work with any Palestinian government that includes Hamas and consider cutting aid should the U.S. designated terrorist group remain in the government. Preconditions in U.S. law prevent aid from being provided to a Palestinian government that includes Hamas, unless the government and all its members have publically committed to the Quartet principles.

“It is imperative for you to make clear to President Abbas that Palestinian Authority participation in a unity government with an unreformed Hamas will jeopardize its relationship with the United States, including its receipt of U.S. aid. As you are aware, U.S. law prohibits aid from being provided to a Palestinian government that includes Hamas, unless the government and all its members have publically committed to the Quartet principles. We urge you to conduct a review of the current situation and suspend aid should Hamas refuse to comply with Quartet conditions,” wrote the Senators.
