Iran continues to provoke a war with Israel.
According to a report from Al Ahram, the Egyptian weekly paper- Iranian agents offered 2 Egyptian men 50,000 Egyptian pounds to carry out attack on an Israeli vessel while it crossed the Suez canel.
Egypt detained the two men last week after receiving information of the planned attack. Egyptian authorities have two suspects in custody – Saliman Rizek abdel Razek and Salame Ahmed Salame. Both men denied the accusations, but according to the report authorities have evidence linking them to a third suspect – Muhammad Zakri – who they allegedly tried to hire to execute the attack.
The paper reported that Zakri was told he would be "paid by the Shiites," who ordered the attack.

Iran 's Ayatollah Khamenei speaks of Sunshine Lollipops and Rainbows at Islamic Youth conference
Ever wonder what they say about us when we're not around?
Iran's Ayatollah Khamenei spoke at the "Islamic Awakening and Youth Conference" and lovefest in Tehran. Addressing youth from 73 countries - including Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Lebanon, Yemen, Bahrain and Palestine the Ayattolah expressed his vision of a world united under Islam. Apparently its time to cast off the idols of "Marxism, liberal democracy and secular nationalism" and turn to Allah.
"In light of the fulfillment of God's promises, the Zionists, the Great Satan - America - and western powers feel helpless in the face of Islamic Awakening and their sense of weakness and defeat will increase on a daily basis."
The "international tyrants" appear to be damaging the self esteem of his flock. Is psychotherapy the answer? Maybe not. The answer is Islam
"Islam that is based on reliance on God, Islam that is based on jihad, Islam that is based on hard work and action."
"The enemies of the Islamic Ummah have kept Muslim nations backward for around two centuries by instilling a sense of incompetence into Muslim nations and promoting the idea that the superpowers of the world are invincible, but the Islamic Ummah has awakened today and it has realized that both of these beliefs are a hundred percent wrong and that Muslim nations are able to restore the glory of Islamic civilization."
"In order to defeat the Islamic Republic, the arrogant powers have done everything in their power, but so far the Iranian nation has kicked them in the mouth at every stage. And in the future they will not achieve anything but defeat and failure."
"Muslim nations have certain differences as well. Considering the geographic, historical and social differences, there is no unified paradigm for all Islamic countries. But the important point is that everybody is opposed to the satanic hegemony of the Zionists and the Americans and that nobody would tolerate the existence of the cancerous tumor, Israel."

California Divestment Campaign strikes out again
Oh, pity the poor California Divestment campaign. (or laugh at them behind their backs. We are fine with that, too) After failing miserable to get enough signatures to place their anti-Israel measure on the California ballot, (reports indicate that fewer than 5 % of the needed signatures were collected) they lowered the bar and decided to just try a plain old petition to pressure the state public retirement system CalPERS and CalSTRS to divest from companies doing business in Israel. After 5months, only 1600 people have signed on, the vast majority with no investments in either fund.
Welcome to the fairy tale world of the BDS movement. This lack of sucess hasn't prevented the California Divestment Campaign by crowing victory from the rooftops, bragging about hitting the milestone of less than .0001 % of eligible participants signing on to their campaign. Thats 1600 signatures, out of the 1.6 million CalPers fund participants.
In America, Boycotts, divestment and Sanctions BDS has a long and venerable record of abject failure. Way to go, California Divestment Campaign. May you continue to go from failure to failure.

CalPERS divests from Iran
CalPERS, the country's largest public pension fund with $236 billion in market assets is selling all its stock in companies that operate in Iran and Sudan. CalPERS provides retirement benefits to more than 1.6 million State, public school, and local public agency employees, retirees, and their families, and health benefits to nearly 1.3 million members.
On May 16 , The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) announced that it is fully complying with state divestment laws passed in 2006 and 2007. From their press release
"Responding to the impact of federal and international sanctions, the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) today adopted a plan to divest shares of the remaining public companies operating in specific segments of the Iran and Sudan economies. New investments in these companies would be blocked as well.
Strong sanctions adopted in 2010 by the federal government, the United Nations and European Union prompted the withdrawal of several large multi-national oil and energy companies from Iran and Sudan.
CalPERS once had up to $2 billion invested in 47 companies in the two countries, both targets of California State divestment laws enacted in 2006 and 2007. Today, CalPERS owns shares valued at approximately $160 million in only eight companies that fall within the parameters of the State’s Iran and Sudan divestment acts."
Iran and Sudan are subject to U.S. economic sanctions. Iran has been identified as a state sponsor of terrorism, and Sudan has been cited for genocidal acts against the inhabitants of Darfur.
"The cost of continuing to hold the stock of these eight companies is greater than the value of divesting them," CalPERS board President Rob Feckner said. "Consistent with our fiduciary duty as trustees, we're taking this step in the best interest of the fund."
*******
Incidently, this is the same pension fund Team Hate is attempting to influence to divest from the only democracy in the Middle east. After over 6 weeks of effort, they have 650 signatories on their petition- the vast majority not even invested with CalPers.
