Another act of anti-Semitism in our local community, the oh so tolerant and inclusive Bay Area.
A student at UC Hastings reported his mezuzah on the doorframe of his McAllister Tower campus housing had been set on fire. It is being investigated as an anti-Semitic hate crime.
UC Hastings Chancellor David Faigman sent out a letter to students, faculty and staff condemning this “cowardly act of anti-Semitism.”
“I am deeply troubled by the possible implications of such an act on our campus,” Faigman wrote. “We will not tolerate hateful actions of any sort against members of our community. UC Hastings is dedicated to the principals of diversity and inclusion.”
Anyone with more information is urged to call UC Hasting campus police at (415)525-4611
