Point of View. Sister Act: San Francisco and Haifa
Check out this striking piece of interactive public art down by the San Francisco Cruise ship terminal. There is an identical piece in Haifa.
San Francisco and Haifa, two "Cities by the Bay" have been sister cities since 1973. Today's installation of "Point of View" is just one in a series of cultural and sporting events that have tied the 2 communities together.
Matthew Passmore from Oakland's MoreLab and Israeli artist Saron Paz collaborated on the design and execution of the project.
The installations feature panoramic cameras, atop identical towers, allowing visitors in each country a glimpse into the other.

Palestine Museum opens in Connecticut.
In an interview with the Hartford Courant, museum founder Faisal Saleh denied that the museum had a political agenda.
“Most activities of Palestinians in the U.S. are political in nature. They give talks on campuses about issues. The average American still doesn’t know much about Palestine...I thought the best way to communicate with Americans is with the language of art and literature.”
Yet the museum is highly politicized, featuring a portrait of an ISM volunteer, Rachel Corrie who was killed protecting smuggling tunnels in Gaza.
The Museum also features the infamous fraudulent "children's art" of Gaza
The primary image, either coached or directly copied from a notorious anti-Israel poster is hardly a spontaneous outpouring of a child's creative impulse. Don't expect the museum to mention that.

For those of you who like art with an agenda, the Palestine Museum might even put Banksy's work to shame.

From the J Weekly:
Speaking May 16 to a near sellout crowd at the JCC of San Francisco, Barak said the policies of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his allies are “embarrassing,” and that they have “locked the door on the two-state solution, which is the only viable and sustainable one.”
In town as part of a book tour in support of his newly published memoir “My Country, My Life,” Barak was scheduled to speak the next day at the Commonwealth Club. At the JCC, he said many things that would please progressive observers of Middle East politics, such as harshly criticizing Netanyahu’s support of Jewish settlements deep in the West Bank.
Not progressive enough for more than a dozen anti-Zionist protesters in attendance, part of a larger group protesting outside. They noisily interrupted Barak three separate times, chanting slogans, such as “Palestine will be free,” and calling Barak — a former Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces — a war criminal.

BDS attempts to manipulate Eurovision
Eurovision was never meant to be political, but it was politicized by those outraged that a pop artist from Israel should be allowed to participate. Having failed to get Netta Barzilai banned for her role in "supporting apartheid" by singing in the Naval choir, the Israel haters attempted to manipulate the poll results. Eurovision became a tool- not to promote music, or to experience cultural diversity, but to ensure Netta lost.
Orchestrated by Australian agoraphobe Sylvia Posadas, the BDS campaign failed. Miserably.
Netta won.
From the fine folk at Divest this:
...Once BDS got into the act, spreading their bile throughout the Interwebs in hope that they could rally the world to vote down Netta – Israel’s ultimately successful entrant into this year’s Eurovision contest – suddenly Eurovision became something it wasn’t before: a global political referendum on the Jewish state’s place in the world. Keep in mind that this was not what Eurovision was created to be, nor were the performers – including Netta – interested in turning the event into a global vote for or against the their countries.
But by making votes against Netta a political act of condemnation, BDS simultaneously (if inadvertently) turned votes for her into a political act of support.
Keeping with the BDS fail theme, as of today, Netta Barzilai's "Toy" is in the global top ten on I tunes

Rational Judaism: The Top Ten Stupidest Criticisms of Israel's Actions on the Gaza Border
Simply perfect.
Check it out. From the blog, Rationalist Judaism:
1) People have a right to peacefully protest! (Indeed they do. But there are plenty of people here who are taking butcher knives and firebombs and guns to storm the border and kill and kidnap Israeli civilians.)
2) There is no evidence of that! (Yes there is. There are Arabic Facebook pages and interviews and photos.)
3) But it's not all the Gazans who are doing that! (Right. And it's not all the Gazans who are being shot!)
4) Israel is just trying to kill as many Gazans as possible! (If it was, there would be carnage like in Syria. Israel is trying to avoid killing Gazans - aside from anything else, it is politically very damaging.)
5) Israel should just use tear gas! (They have, but it often doesn't work, such as when it's windy, or when the Gazans have gas masks and bury the canisters.)
6) Israel should only use rubber bullets! (They often can't, because these only work at short range.)
7) Israel should just arrest them! (If soldiers went up to the crowds to do that, there would be a bloodbath.)
8) Israel is so technologically advanced, there must be a way to stop them without shooting them! (No army in the world has yet found a way to repel armed attackers without ever using bullets)
9) It's so disproportionate - so many Gazans wounded or killed, and no Israelis! (So what?! When you are repelling an armed invasion, there is no reason to let them kill more of you before continuing to stop them!)
And the Top Stupidest Argument is...:
10) The Palestinians have legitimate grievances! (Even if this were true, are you claiming that Israel should therefore just let them storm the border and butcher its civilians?!)
Check out the post here.

Palestinian Lies fly faster than a speeding bullet
The Palestinians have been shamelessly lying about cruel and unusual zionist "secret-weapons" since the onset of the Gaza riots.
First there was the hog-hunting "butterfly" bullet, allegedly "banned internationally", yet strangely widely available on the Internet.
Now there's this magical "explosive" bullet, allegedly used by Israel.

The photo has been copied directly from the web . It shows bullets that have been fired under water.
The Palestinian lies are proving to be ...all wet.

Israel wins Eurovision.
Israel's very own Netta Barzilai has won the Eurovision song competition, garnering 529 points.
Her quirky song, "Toy", an ode to the #MeToo movement had caught the attention of the world audience early in the competition, and was watched and downloaded over 26 million times.
Israel haters and other BDS holes are sitting quietly in their mother's basements, rocking gently and muttering softly to themselves.
Netta graciously accepted the honor, saying
"I'm so happy, thank you so much for choosing difference. Thank you so much for accepting differences between us. Thank you for celebrating diversity. Thank you. I love my country. Next time in Jerusalem."

Sara Kershnar: Berkeley City Councilperson Cheryl Davila's reprehensible assistant
Controversial Berkeley City Council woman Cheryl Davila has hired Sara Kershnar as her legislative assistant. If Cheryl had done any vetting or research, she might have learned that Sara had been previously arrested for disrupting a program at the San Francisco Jewish Community Center.
Berkeley taxpayers, you are now paying this vile woman's salary.

Jewish Voice for Peace honors Gaza terrorists
Extremist group Jewish Voice for Peace has created downloadable prints for the inevitable protests this week, bearing the names of those killed in Gaza.
May his memory be a blessing? Really, JVP? Really?
The Meir Amit center helpfully provides background information on JVP's "innocent civilians", 80% of whom have been positively identified as members of terrorist organizations.
Again, Jewish Voice for Peace by opening honoring terrorists proves its own moral bankruptcy and its willing abandonment of truth and human decency.

Uber and the mainstreaming of anti-Semitism in America
Yet another example of the mainstreaming of Jew-hate in America.
An Israeli diplomat in Chicago was thrown out of an Uber after the driver heard him speaking Hebrew.
Itay Milner, Israel’s deputy consul general in Chicago took to social media to describe his experience, posting on both Facebook and on Twitter
He wrote:
I just had one of the worst experience in my life. I was just thrown out of an #uber in the middle of the highway only because I answered my phone in my mother togue. 10 minutes into my ride and with no prior interaction between the driver and myself, it took only two words in Hebrew to get my driver start yelling at me "get the $#@* out of my car".
It did not help when I told him that I can't go out in the middle of the highway. It was like I wasn't a person for him anymore. When I asked him if it's because I'm speaking Hebrew he said yes and kept yelling at me to get out.
I am not easily intimidated, but that scared me, and I ran out of there, walking in the middle of the road.
I never thought something like this could happen in America, such awful racism.
This cannot be tolerated!
