Loyola Student president vetoes Israel Divestment Bill

On Wednesday, March 24, Pedro Guerrero, the president of the  Unified Student Government Association of Chicago's Loyola University  vetoed a divestment bill that had been passed the previous night. The full text of his statement follows:

Thank you, Pedro, for this brave and principled stand.

True to form,  the Students for Just us in Palestine nonetheless declared this a "victory" . President of SJP and USGA senator Nashiha Alam stated, "we still see this as a victory and a step in the right direction."
