the
United

as
the

States
became
the
first
country
in
the
world

 recognize
the
Jewishstate.

then,
US‐Israel
relations
have
only
grown
stronger.
Israel
is
currently
the
largest
recipient
of
economic
and
military
aid
from
the
United
States,
and
it
serves
 as
a
strategic
ally
in
what
is
often
a
hostile
region.




Understanding
the
connection
between
the
United
States
and
Israel
is
thus
critical
 to
a
deeper
comprehension
of
United
States
foreign
policy,
especially
in
the
Middle
 East.
