Palestinians reject Peace. Again

From Haaretz

Palestinians reject peace. Again.

Mahmoud Zahar, a senior Hamas leader who participated in the reconciliation talks between Fatah and Hamas, said on Wednesday that the interim Palestinian government would not be able to work on peace negotiations with Israel.

The rival Palestinian movements Fatah and Hamas came to a historic agreement on Wednesday, when they announced a decision to reconcile and form an interim government ahead of elections, after a four-year feud. Both sides hailed the agreement as a chance to start a fresh page in their national history.

"Our program does not include negotiations with Israel or recognizing it," Zahhar said in Cairo. "It will not be possible for the interim national government to participate or bet on or work on the peace process with Israel."

  1. hey at least this guys being honest unlike so many radical leftists who like to carry the label of being humanitarians when they delegitimize Israel. aside from the chaos through out the arab world (and iran) for over two months this is just further evidence to show why their should never be a "palestine". one can make a could argument for a sovereign palestinian state if it was a genuine peaceful co-existence with Israel but anybody who has at least a few functioning brain cells and is objective can clearly see that's about as realistic as Fantasy Island.
