"Homemade Resistance Rocket" Critically injures Israeli teen

From YNET
A 16-year boy was critically injured after a bus driving near the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council was hit, apparently by an anti-tank missile, fired from the Gaza Strip on Thursday. He is currently being treated for severe trauma.

An hour later the fire from Gaza continued, and a rocket exploded inside a town in Eshkol Regional Council. No injuries or damage were reported.

The bus was hit in the rear, causing its windows to shatter. The victims were apparently inside the bus. Rescue forces were quick to arrive on the scene to evacuate the victims, and the roads were immediately blocked for fear of additional attacks.

UPDATE:

As of 11:30,PST, over 45 rockets and mortars from Gaza have exploded within 3 hours.

FURTHER UPDATE:

Hamas claimed responsibility for shooting a missile that struck an Israeli bus, critically wounding a teenage boy on his way home from school.

The school bus was traveling in southern Israel near the Gaza border when it was hit by an anti-tank missile, Israeli authorities said.

Using anti-tank missiles on school buses? Will Jewish Voice for Peace condemn Hamas for using disproportionate force? I somehow doubt it.

  1. what the hell is Israel waiting for!? it's time to stop slow dancing with hamas and give em another bloody nose they'll never forget! especially now with the goldstone report having been largely discredited. it won't make any difference however with the Jew haters in the world but this does give Israel some much needed political ammunition. in particular where the U.N. is concerned now that there credibility is nearly shot. with countries like libya on their human rights council and people like goldstone working for them who can possibly take the U.N. seriously anymore!!?

  2. The school bus was was hit by a type of anti-tank missile known as a Kornet, said Israeli military spokesman Capt. Barak Raz. The Kornet is a Russian-made anti-tank guided missile system that is thought to have a maximum range of 5 1/2 kilometers (3 1/2 miles).
