SF Board of Supervisors and SFPD agree: shut up and take it, Jews!

The following three violent Jew-beating incidents are brought to you by the members of the SF Board of Supervisors who encourage or enable popular anti-Semitism by expressing their hatred of Israel.
It is also brought to you by the numerous opinionated politically correct windbags for whom SF is the centre of the world, and by the letter J.

Incident ONE
Several angry Palestinians and their supporters attack one old Jewish man wearing a kippa and blowing a shofar. This happened on the sidewalk in front of the Israel consulate before an anti-Israel protest on Tuesday July 6, after four o'clock. There were about fifty or sixty people present – thirty Palestinians and their friends (International ANSWER members, Codepink, etc.), twenty police officers (SFPD), and maybe ten Jews. Once violence broke out, the mob rushed the elderly Jewish gentleman with arms flailing, intent on mischief.
For several seconds, no one intervened, not even the SFPD. It is quite likely that the San Francisco officers were unfamiliar with even the concept of 'violence'.

The pro-Palestinian side notes the accusation that the Jew had committed a shocking and offensive act by blowing a shofar, and shows more of the rally here.
They did not put the actual incident itself on youtube.

Incident TWO
Richard Becker and his posse get rowdy with another Jewish gentleman. Several courageous Palestine supporters, one Jew.
Same place as the above incident, with much the same police response.

Incident THREE
Big Palestinian wrestler tries to strangle a weasely little man holding an Israeli flag directly in front of the Israeli Consulate. After several minutes, the police intervene. For which they are roundly cursed by Forrest Schmidt of International ANSWER (Richard Becker's handyman and household servant).

The three Jews involved were all cited by the police. Jews are supposed to be passive.
Whereas critics of Israel are examples embraced by a large segment of the San Francisco population, and have the moral support of Chris Daly, David Campos, Sophie Maxwell, John Avalos, and other members of the SF Board of Supervisors.

  1. In San Francisco it seems the rule is "wear a kippah, get a citation." Does anyone else recall when the police were called because a Rabbi was leading his congregation in songs of peace on the sidewalk? It seems that the serial Jew haters in San Francisco have devised yet another way to attack Jews, they lie to the all to the all too willing, San Francisco Police.

  2. I wonder how many SFPD cops wear brown shirts on their off hours.

  3. lol

so we have a 14 year old claiming to have been assaulted by a shofar blast

probably the first time she has ever heard a shofar in her life...which is why it hurt her ears, as the feelings of guilt that accompany refusing to do teshuva do indeed hurt

what sort of idiot parents must that girl have

I don't know why you consider the board of supervisors resolution to be anti Israel or express hatred of Israel. perhaps you need to provide a link to the full text of the resolution to make your case. When I went to the board of supervisors website, I got this summary of the resolution:

100767 [Freedom Flotilla and Gaza Blockade]
    Sponsors: Avalos; Maxwell
Resolution joining the global community, including international human rights organizations, The
Elders, over 50 nations, and thousands of Bay Area residents in condemning the Israeli
Defense Forces’ military attack on the Freedom Flotilla on May 31, 2010, that resulted in the
death of at least nine people, including a United States citizen; and urging President Barack
Obama and Congress to continue their work addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza,
actively seek an end to the blockade, and work towards genuine peace and security for all
    peoples in the region

That doesn't sound like they hate Israel, rather they hate stupid Israeli policy. You should have read the Israeli Zionist newspaper Haaretz in the days after this foolish Israeli action. They said far worse things about their own government than the board of supervisors put in that resolution. And, in any event, the resolution was sent back to committee, where it will die a merciful death.

You need to realize that supporting Israel and the Jewish people is not the same thing as regurgitating bullshit propaganda put out by the Israeli government and the American Jewish establishment. You should also realize that the Israeli government has been taken over by total wingnuts, and nothing it says should be trusted.

Which is the only foreign government policy, with very FEW exceptions, that they see fit to criticise. San Francisco and Berkeley should not have their own foreign policy, and need to butt out of complex international issues.

I do. It provides a good balance to Arutz Sheva.

Yes. Amira Hass is a loathsome stuk werk.

Boruch Hashem. Bloody waste of time.

By and large I ignore what the Israeli government puts out. Hasbara is not their strong suit, and often they are the worst speakers for Israel. The American Jewish establishment, in that they combine blinkers, bullshit, and cowering timidity in equal measure, are often as bad.
