However, what he said during his recent talk at UCI had a layer of truth to it. What we call "Palestinian terrorism" in the US media is really just resistance to occupation. When a slave kills his master, do you blame the slave or claim the slave believes in some violent religious ideology? No. When I hear stories and see images of Palestinian children in the West Bank having guns pointed to their heads by IDF soldiers I am disgusted. When I hear about the demise of Gaza by the siege from Israel and the US (regardless of how Hamas governs the area) I am appalled. Resistance is not irrational violence; it is self-defense. This is what Malik Ali was saying when he responded to the questions during the recent Q&A. Roz Rothsetein from StandWithUs kept grilling him about supporting Hamas and Hizballah. He said that Israel's terrorism is much worse; that is true. The state, by definition, has the monopoly on the illegitimate use of force. Anything a so-called terrorist group like Hamas does is nothing compared to what states routinely carry out. If anything, it is the zionist-nationalists who believe in violence and immoral actions.Julia Riber Pitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03006439247714055292noreply@blogger.com
